DAY 1 | TUESDAY 19 NOVEMBER 2019

1ST OF 5 NIGHTS AT PARKLANDS RESORT, MUDGEE

AIRPORT AND CENTRAL STATION, SYDNEY, TO MUDGEE:

Guests are collected by private air-conditioned coach. The coach will make one stop at Central Station in Sydney at 1:30pm and a second stop at Sydney Domestic Airport at 2:00pm.

We travel to Mudgee on our private coach that will be our transport throughout the tour. Mudgee, 261km northwest of Sydney, is an attractive, historic town known for its elegant and well-preserved colonial buildings, such as the sandstone St. Mary's Catholic Church, characterised by Gothic Revival architecture, and the 19th-century Mudgee Post Office, with its arched colonnade. Mudgee is located in the broad fertile valley of the Cudgegong River. We will break our scenic journey across the Blue Mountains at Blackheath, a charming village near the highest point of the mountains, to allow guests time to stretch their legs, visit a café or explore Blackheath’s fascinating antique store.

On arrival in Mudgee we check into Parklands Resort. Set on 30 acres of land and located just 1 km from the centre of Mudgee, rooms are spacious, well equipped and feature a veranda overlooking the resort grounds. The hotel also includes an indoor swimming pool and fitness centre. Parklands Resort is where the artists performing in the festival stay and throughout your time at the hotel you will brush past artists as you enjoy breakfast or wander around the grounds.

This evening we will join our Tour Leader, Genevieve Lang, who will give an introduction to the tour and to the festival. We then enjoy a delicious BBQ in the grounds of the hotel.
